Andover, NY - Carol Jean Barrett, beloved wife and mother, died peacefully at her home in Andover on March 25, 2009.
Carol was born April 13, 1941 in Springwater, NY to Paul and Gladys (Gilbert) Fogle. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Phil Barrett of Andover; two daughters Julie (Roger) Hoshal of Richburg and Cathy (David) Dawson of Wellsville; step-children Marty (Chris) Barrett of Glendale, Arizona and Stephanie (Javier) Gonzales of Homedale, Idaho; grandchildren Kristen (Anthony) Liguori of Olean and Aaron Dawson of Wellsville; step-grandchildren Skylin Barrett, Jessica, Ricco, Rachel, and Krystyna Gonzales; great-grandchildren Kyle, Damon, and Nolan Liguori; brothers Bobby (Peggy) Fogle of Canaseraga and James (Darlene) Fogle of Dansville; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Lucille Smith and Doris Davison.
Carol will be remembered by her family and friends as an artist, gifting her wares to those she cared for, and as a compassionate animal lover who never failed to give a home to her many “found” pets.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation. A memorial service for family members will be held at their convenience.
Memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s name to the SPCA Serving Allegany County PO Box 381, Wellsville, NY.
Arrangements are under the direction of the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. of Wellsville.
