Belmont, NY - Rose Marie Davis, age 61, of State Route 19 passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at home. She was born on February 15, 1956 in Wellsville to James and Alice Brewer Davis.
Rose graduated from Wellsville High School as a member the Class of 1974. She had been a long time Belmont resident who had been an EMT with the Amity Rescue Squad. In her mid-30’s Rose obtained her LPN license and had worked at Jones Memorial Hospital, Highland Park Rehabilitation Center, ARC on Dyke Street, and last she worked at Wellsville Manor Care Center. Rose was an artist who enjoyed all arts and crafts. She will be remembered for her painting including store fronts and especially lawn decorations. Rose enjoyed cooking especially for her family. She will be remembered to many as an unselfish woman that made sure others were taken care of.
Survivors include 3 sons, Jim (Amanda) Baker, Phillip (Chrissy) Baker, and Leland Baker; 3 daughters, Christina (Chad) Allen, Stephanie (Alyn) MacDonell, and Alisha (William) La Forge; a proud grandmother to 19, Jimmy, Trevor, Raymond, Julie, Destiny, Dalton, Breanna, Stephanie, Austin, Jonathan, Makala, Kira, Kaleigh, Aidan, Alex, Phil, Jordan, Merriam, and Stanley; a great grandson and two more great grandchildren on the way; a brother, Charles (Sandy) Davis; 4 sisters, Lucy (Dick) Pierce, Doris (Steve) Meitzler, Sara Moran, and Edith Coyne; her faithful and constant companion, Little Lady.
Rose was predeceased by her parents and her infant brother, James.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 23, 2017, from 6-8 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Belmont. On Friday friends are invited to call from 10 am to 11am in the First United Methodist Church of Belmont where a funeral service will be held at 11am following the calling hour.
