Belmont - Kathleen"Judy" Dewey of the Old Whithy Road passed away on Sunday December 13, 2009 at the Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville. She was born on July 26, 1943 in Corning to Edward and Nellie Potter Crandall.
Judy graduated from Angelica High School. She lived and worked in Rochester and later moved back to this area. For many years she was a bartender for the Elks Lodge in Wellsville where she enjoyed socializing with her many friends. Judy was a social member of the American Legion Post 808 in Belmont and will be remembered for the many pool parties she hosted at her home on Old Whithy Road.
Survivors include: a son Michael Schneider of Salamanca; two nieces, Debbie Freeman and Cindy Mostacato; three nephews, Edward Pastor Jr., Jim Pastor and Timmy Pastor and a life long friend, Linda Green of Green Valley, AZ.
Judy was predeceased by: her two husbands, Ralph Schneider and Leon Dewey, her long time companion Al Brooks and her sister Betty Pastor.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday December 16 from 11 am to 1 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Belmont. Her funeral service will take place at the conclusion of calling hours in the Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Ward presiding. Burial will take place in Forest Hills Cemetery and memorials in Judy's name may be made to the Amity Rescue Squad.
