Tige worked several jobs in many industries before he found his career at Air Preheater; from where he retired after 34 years. He was an avid outdoorsman with a great sense of humor; he loved hunting, fishing, and trapping. He was also a passionate painter who primarily focused on oil painting. He cherished his beloved dog “Penny”, who stayed by his side to the end. He was a lifetime member of both the Whitesville Fire Department, and the Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
He is survived by: two daughters, Kelly (Joseph) Griffith and Patti Ball; two grandsons, Lance M. and Eric C. Conley; a great-grandson, Jason M. Conley; a step-great-granddaughter, Sofia Pribulsky; a brother, Roger Horton; sisters-in-law, June (Melvin) Brandes, and Connie (Clair) Armison; brother-in-law, Howard Armison; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, and loving wife of 53 years, he was predeceased by: Son-in-law, Daniel Ball; sisters-in-law, Joanne Daily Horton, Betty Canfield Armison, Janice Gilette Armison, and Joyce Canfield; nephew, Mark Horton; and niece Kimberly Armison.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home of Wellsville, 34 West State Street. His funeral will follow on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11 am in the Funeral Home with Reverend Timothy Armstrong presiding. Burial will be in Whitesville Rural Cemetery. It was over 30 years we lost contact, but we found each other and I was so glad when we got together. again. He was my best friend, I loved him too !
