She was a member of the Wellsville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, and a member of the Scio Volunteer Fire Department, Hose Company # 2.

On August 21st, 2005, she married Norman H. Moultrup in an intimate ceremony full of celebration for the love they shared for over 20 years. Norman and Esther loved listening to music and going on dates to dance the night away with their many country music friends. Norman predeceased Esther in June of 2006 but was carried very closely in her heart every day since.

She was a grandmother to fourteen; Tara, Sandy, Rickie, Michael, Laceanne, Daniel, David, Andrew, Crystal, Reggie, Christopher, Samantha, Carly, and Emma. Her grandchildren were always a source of pride for Esther, she loved baking for her grandchildren as well as challenging them to a game of Rummy. She was proudly great-grandmother to eighteen.
