Riccardo “Rick” Ferraloro



Wellsville, NY - Riccardo “Rick” Ferraloro, 52, of 2834 Miller Road passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at home. He was born June 10, 1964 in Jamestown, the son of the late Carmelo and Maria (Boscia) Ferraloro Jr. On September 30, 1995 in Wellsville he married Tina Hager who survives. 


Rick was raised in Jamestown and was a graduate of Jamestown High School. He served four years with the US Marine Corps. He attended Jamestown Community College and graduated from Buffalo State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology. He was employed by Dresser-Rand Corporation in Wellsville for 25 years as an Electrical Engineer.

Rick was a devoted father who enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved attending his daughter, Rachael’s concerts, helping his son Michael, rebuild dirt bikes and watching his son Matthew, play baseball. He also enjoyed helping out with his son’s Little League Team. He was also an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife Tina, is one daughter, Rachael, two sons, Michael and Matthew, all who live at home in Wellsville, a sister, Gina (Lou) Hartzell and a brother, Carmen “Carl” (Janet) Ferraloro both of Jamestown, four nieces, Natalie and Kayla Hartzell and Rebecca Ferraloro of Jamestown and Melissa (Charles) Harrison of Olean, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins from the Jamestown area.

Friends are invited to call on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc., 34 W. State Street in Wellsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 11th at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
