Alma, NY - Gary T. Arnold, 72, of 261 Pump Station Road passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Highland Park Healthcare Center. He was born on July 15, 1944 in Wellsville, the son of the late Louis and Roberta (Young) Arnold. On September 19, 1964 in Wellsville he married Marilyn Perkins who survives.
Gary attended Wellsville High School. He was a four year veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was formerly employed at C. E. Air Preheater in Wellsville for one year and Dresser-Rand Corporation in Wellsville for 37 years. He was a member of the Morrison Hayes Post 702 American Legion and enjoyed gabbing with his friends and family. He was an outdoorsman who loved driving his side by side.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Chad Arnold of Bradford, PA and Kerry Arnold and his companion, Christine Hurd of Alma, four grandchildren, Amanda (Corey) Yeoman, Nick, Kyle and Kailee Arnold, two great grandchildren, Harrison and Dunkin Yeoman, two sisters, Connie (James) McAndrews of Wellsville and Rosalie Ames of Franklinville, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in addition to his parents by two sons, Jason and Victor Arnold and two brothers, Darwin and Ronnie Arnold.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 12 noon to 2:00 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. The funeral will follow visitation at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. David Potts presiding. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
