Wellsville, NY - Linda Ann Hayes, age 61, of O’Connor Street passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the university of Rochester Medical Center. She was born on April 1, 1955 in Wellsville to William and Junietta Coy Sheridan. On August 20, 1983 at the Immaculate Conception Church she married John M. Hayes who survives.
Linda was a long time resident of the Wellsville was an LPN for many years at the Wellsville Manor Nursing Home and until 2015 at the Manor Hills. Linda enjoyed many trips to Disney World, Atlantic City, and to Seneca Allegany in Salamanca. She also enjoyed flower gardens and loved her family more than anything. She was a member of the Women of The Moose Chapter 248, and the Immaculate Conception Church both of Wellsville.
Linda is survived by her husband John; 2 sisters, Gail Sheridan of Rochester and Sandy (Gary) Ordway of Wellsville; 4 brothers, Pat (Sharon) Sheridan of Conesus, Dan Sheridan of Wellsville, Steve (Laura) Sheridan of Wellsville, and John (Michele) Sheridan of Wellsville; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nepews;2 brother in laws, Terry Hayes and James Hayes.
Linda was predeceased by her mother and father and a daughter, Amy Elizabeth Sheridan.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 26, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville. On Monday friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 am in the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will take place in the Sacred Heart Cemetery and Memorial contributions in Linda’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
