William Parker Leilous



Wellsville, NY - William Parker Leilous, age 75, of Fairview Avenue passed away unexpectedly on May 7, 2016. William “Bill” was born on August 28, 1940, in Wellsville to Harold “Red” Leilous and Helen Leilous.


Bill graduated from Belmont Central School in 1958 and attended the University of Buffalo. He served in the US Army and the National Guard from 1960-1966. Bill owned and operated Eastside Garage in Belmont for many years before becoming a loan officer and branch manager for Fleet Bank at several locations throughout the county. Bill thoroughly enjoyed his retirement and making Florida his winter home. Throughout his life Bill was a member of many philanthropic organizations. He joined the Belmont Masonic Lodge in 1965, 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason and he was an active member of the Ismalia Shrine. Bill was also a life member of the Belmont Fire Department, Belmont and Wellsville Rotary, the American Legion, and the Elks Lodge. He was a member of the Jubilee Fellowship Church in Naples, Florida.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his three children, Patty(Mike)Ferguson of Henrietta, Jeffrey(Kelly Harvey) of Springville, Michele(Dana)Cline of Fort Myers, Florida, and Ann Hotchkiss of Springville; his ten grandchildren, Jennifer(Billy)Massett, Jarrod(Aaron McMahon) Ferguson, Caitlyn Hotchkiss, Lindsey Hotchkiss, Jessica(Logan) Kerr, Meghan Hotchkiss, Alexis Cline, Joshua Cline, Kaleb Cline, and Nicholas Cline; two great grandchildren, Ethan and Ellie Massett.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday May 10, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville and on Wednesday, May 11 from 10 am to 11 am at the Genesis Bible Church in Scio where his funeral service will take place at 11 am. Pastor Marc Chamberlain will preside the service with burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
