Mary Agnes Sullivan

Wellsville, NY - Mary Agnes Sullivan, 89, of 4192 A Bolivar Road, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Wellsville Manor Care Center. She was born September 8, 1926 in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Henry Joseph and Agnes (Forhan) Sullivan.

Mary Agnes taught English at Andover High School for many years. She was an avid golfer and member of the Wellsville County Club, where she was Club Champion multiple times. She also enjoyed playing Bridge, bowling and was a dedicated volunteer for the American Red Cross.  Mary Agnes attended grammar school in Mexico, and High School in Cuba. She and her family returned to Wellsville when her father retired in the mid 1950’s.

She is survived by several nieces and Nephews, Kathi Sullivan and her husband Richard Nuanes, Timothy Sullivan and his wife Martha, Matthew Sullivan and his wife Susan, Peter Sullivan, John Sullivan and his wife Delissa, Maureen Egen and her husband David, Kathleen Doyle and her husband Richard Bavitch, Patricia Mahon and her husband Thomas Hayden, Gigi Mahon, Jim Mahon and his wife Katie, and Harry Mahon and his wife, Twig Murray, along with numerous grand nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased in addition to her parents by a sister, Monica Mahon and a brother, Henry J. Sullivan.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 36 Maple Avenue in Wellsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
