Jane M. Walsh

Wellsville, NY - Jane M. Walsh, a former longtime resident of North Hill Road passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 shortly after arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 30, 1932 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Brown) Mullen. On November 10, 1956 in Wellsville she married Robert F. Walsh who predeceased her on June 22, 1994.

Jane was a graduate of Immaculate Conception School and 1950 graduate of Wellsville High School. She was employed by Rockwell Brothers in Wellsville for over 30 years, and was the last employee to leave when the business closed in 1989. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, the Altar & Rosary Society, the Fun Fair Committee, the Monday Club, and was a charter member of the Mercy Associates. She was a loving grandmother and appreciated the good care she received at Manor Hills.

She is survived by three children, Shaun (Elaine) Walsh, Timothy (Margaret) Walsh, and Mary Kate (Jeremy) Cole all of Wellsville, eight grandchildren, Robert, Patrick, Kevin, Michael, Elizabeth, Bryan, Molly and Sarah, a sister-in-law, Mary Eleanor Benz of Wellsville, a cousin, Mary Bogan of Belmont, and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, James and Patricia Walsh, a brother-in-law, Clancy Benz and a cousin, Paul E. Kilbane.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 21st from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Friday, January 22nd from 10:00 to 10:30 am at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Immaculate Conception School, the Emerald Hook & Ladder Company # 3 (New Truck Fund) or the David A. Howe Public Library.   3. It was my privilege to know Jane all my life. Her husband Bob was my godfather and the Walsh and Spellicy families go way back. I will miss her gentle smile and caring nature. May God keep her forever in His heart as we all will.
