Wellsville, NY - Family and Friends lament Ada (Robbins) Craig who passed away December 19, 2015, at the age of 102.
Originally from near Genesee, Pa. Ada was married to Edward A. Craig from Shelocta, PA. Together over 60-years they raised three children, Sandra Aldrich, Edward and Richard. Their “tribe” includes numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ada was a 50-year member of The Daughters of Rebekah. She was an accomplished homemaker, ardent Reader and proponent of Education. As the mentor of numerous sons and grandsons as well as the wife of an enthusiastic outdoorsman, she recognized the importance of the Boy Scouts of America for character building and skill-development. Consequently her Family includes six Eagle Scouts one of whom has been recognized with the rare “Silver Beaver Service Award”.
The funeral for Ada Ann Craig will be at Brookside Wesleyan Church, 3456 Andover Road in Wellsville on Saturday, January 9, 2016. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by Words-of-Comfort at 11:00 am, led by Pastor Robin George. Burial at the North Bingham Cemetery will ensue. Refreshment and fellowship will follow the interment at the Brookside Wesleyan Church.
Ada is survived by her sons and a brother, Earl Robbins. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Brookside Wesleyan Church. To leave online condolences, please visit www.embserfuneralhome.com.
Ada and my Mom, Virginia Marsh, were seated together at Manor Hills. My mother, who passed last June, loved Ada dearly. Ada was a kind, gentle and loving lady of grace.
