Carl G. Osgood

Wellsville, NY - Carl G. Osgood, 74, of 2733 Beech Hill Road passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the Hart Comfort House, surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. He was born on May 29, 1940 in Inavale, the son of the late Frank and Bernice (Bessey) Osgood. On August 17, 2007, he married Marilyn A Stevens who survives.

Carl enjoyed working at Dresser-Rand in Wellsville as a machinist for 35 years. He was a member of the Scio Lions Club, the Scio Sunshine Club, the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Mens Club at his church. Carl was well known for his baking, especially for his pies and cookies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and spending time with his friends, family and neighbors.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Marilyn, are four daughters; Debbie (John) Doucette of Fishers Island, NY, Theresa Silverberg of Hillsboro Beach, FL, Stefanie Osgood of Raleigh, NC, Kerri (Thomas Vroman) Osgood of Wellsville, one son, Kristopher Osgood of Wellsville, a step-daughter, Carol Stevens Fanton of Wellsville, six granddaughters; Megan (Bill) Walter, Brittany (Sam Dillman) Murray, Devonae Freelove, Peyton Osgood, Madeleine Osgood, and Allison Fanton; three grandsons; Dustin Davis, Dayne Silverberg, and Karter Osgood; three brothers, Lawrence (Mary) Osgood of Brownsville, TX, Ralph (Shirley) Osgood of Caledonia, and Donald Osgood of Wellsville; an uncle, Bernard (Jean) Bessey; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends are invited to call on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 470 N. Main Street in Wellsville. A memorial service will follow visitation at 6:00 pm in church with Rev. Robert Morris presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial suggestions include the Hart Comfort House, 141 E.
