Carole L. Carlin

Wellsville, NY - Carole L. Carlin, 76, of 2398 Stannards Road died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born June 27, 1935 in Wellsville the daughter of the late Glenn and Mildred (Etsler) Hazzard. On June 11, 1955 in Wellsville she married James F. Carlin who predeceased her on September 21, 2011.

Carole was raised in Wellsville and was graduate of the Immaculate Conception School in 1952 and Wellsville High School in 1954. She was active member of the Immaculate Conception Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, the Mercy Associates, the Fun Fair committee and volunteered at the Immaculate Conception School for many years.

She is survived by two sons, David (Rosalina) Carlin of Las Vegas, NV and Timothy (Judy) Carlin of Wellsville, two daughters, Cynthia Carlin and Kathleen (C. J.) Rahr, both of Wellsville, 11 grandchildren, one sister, Gayle Bernard of Ashville, NY, as well as several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased in addition to her husband by a son, Brian G. Carlin on July 3, 2000 and a sister, Sally Day in 2010.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:30 am at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. The Rosary will be recited Monday at 3:45 pm in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 10th at 11:00 am in the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville with Rev. Thomas Roman as Celebrant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception School, 24 Maple Avenue, Wellsville, NY 14895.     Gayle, My deepest sympathy to you and the entire family on Carole's death. She is with her beloved Jim now and in God's hands. My prayers are with you all.
