Wellsville, NY - Paul E. Kio, a former resident of the Port Allegany Area, passed away on Friday March 16, 2012 at Manor Hills in Wellsville. He was born on July 19, 1926 in Coudersport, PA to Byron and Etha ( Hayes) Kio.
Paul joined the US Navy in 1943 at the age of 17 and served until 1946. He was a self employed carpenter who worked on and built houses.
Survivors include: a son Donald Kio of Bradford, PA, a daughter, Paula Abrams of Bradford, PA: Two brothers, Philip (Leah) Kio of Port Allegany, PA and Roland (June) Kio of Eldred PA: several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Paul was predeceased by 4 sisters: Ella Wight, Nellie Llewellyn, Pearl Link and Helen Kio:2 brothers, Edward Kio and Byron Kio Jr.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday April 5 , 2012 from 12 noon to 1 PM at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home, 34 West State Street, Wellsville, New York.
