Paula K. (Eck) Willis

Wellsville, NY - Paula K. (Eck) Willis of Howard Street passed away on Wednesday February 17 at Jones Memorial Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 26, 1946 in Bradford, PA. to Truman S. and Helen (Jones) Eck. On December 28, 1974 she married Donald M. Willis who predeceased her on June 4, 2002.

Paula graduated from Bradford Area High School. She was a school bus driver for Scio Central School and for over 20 years worked at Wellsville Central School as a monitor and retired as the mail clerk.

Survivors include: two daughters, Dawn (Austin Hunt) Willis of Wellsville and Pamela (Eric) Willis-Austin of Columbus, OH.; two sisters, Carla Weaver of Bradford and Joyce (Jack) Lucco of Limestone; a number of extended family, including step children and their families, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.

Paula was predeceased by her husband Donald and two brothers Gerald and Minor Eck.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday February 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville. A funeral service will take place on Sunday at 3 pm in the Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Gorham of the CMA Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery and in lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to the Allegany County SPCA.

    Dawn, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was always there for us. She will be truly missed.

  2. paula was a grandmother to me. even though she wasn't really that. i love you aunt dawn cant wait to see you again. paula was closer to me than my mom was. i only got to see her a few times before she passed. i know i miss her more than anyone else that knew her.

  3. i loved grandma paula more than anyone else in the world. i wish she was still here today. i am so sorry dawny, i love you very much. ps
    paula wasn't my real grandma i called her that because she was with me since birth.
