Wellsville, NY - Regina Elizabeth Simms of Fulmer Valley Road passed away on Thursday February 18, 2010 at Jones Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 6, 1932 in Wellsville to Harley and Dora (Travis) Baldwin. Regina married Leland "Pete" Simms who predeceased her on April 1, 2004.
Regina graduated from Wellsville High School and worked in many local businesses. They included the Kaiser Glove Factory, Newberry's, Super Duper and she retired from Current Controls. Regina liked to read, crochet and enjoyed horses. She lived for her children and grandchildren and was a friend to all.
Survivors include: a daughter, Linda (Eric) Stark of Wellsville; a son William (Elaine) Simms of Wellsville; 3 grandsons Ryan Stark of Rochester, Talon Stark of Wellsville and Peter Simms of Wellsville; 2 sisters, Lois Lorshbaugh of Wellsville and Donna (Jim) Mulholland of Wellsville; several nieces and nephews
Besides her parents and her husband Regina was predeceased by a son, Gene L. Simms; 2 sisters, Reba Hurd and Anna Baldwin; 2 brothers, Robert Baldwin and Lewis Baldwin.
Friends are invited to call on Monday February 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville. Regina's funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 11 am in the Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Ward presiding. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery and memorials may be made to the Allegany County SPCA.
