Susie A. Allen, 91

Wellsville, NY – Susie A. Allen, 91, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Jones Memorial Hospital with her family at her side. She was born November 10, 1932, in Millport, PA, the daughter of William and Irene (Ball) Rathbun. On June 16, 1951, in Shinglehouse, PA, she married Robert Eric Allen who predeceased her in 1993.

Susie was raised in Millport and attended Shinglehouse High SchoolShe and Bob were active in the Wellsville community as she was a former member of the Wellsville Volunteer Fire Department, Auxiliary, the VFW Post 2530 Auxiliaryand the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 702. She also enjoyed playing euchre at the Wellsville Senior Citizens Center, and dancing at the VFW.

She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Sue Greenanand her husbandPhillip C. Young of Rochester, a son, Randall S. (Kerri) Allen of Petrolia, 11 GrandchildrenShawn Allen, Jason Allen, Joseph Allen, Bradley Payne, Todd Payne, Corie Leigh Fowler, Crystal Kammer Walton, Tony Kammer, Jamie Greenan, Jessica Greenan, and Joseph Greenanseveral great grandchildren, and great-great grandbabies, a sister, Elizabeth Wilson of Charlotte, NC, as well as several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased in addition to her parents and husband by a son, Jonathan Allen, a daughter, Christine Payne, and a sister, Joanne Guinnip.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc, 34 W. State Street in Wellsville. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. The burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
