Dale O. Cline, 81

Walworth, NY – Dale O. Cline, 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. He was born on July 7, 1941, in Wellsville NY, the son of the late Oristus and Florence (Munger) Cline. On December 12, 1987, in Penfield NY, he married the love of his life, Carol Anne Kervin, also from Wellsville, who predeceased him on July 12, 2020.

Dale was raised in Wellsville and was a 1959 graduate of Wellsville High School. Upon graduating he enlisted with the United States Navy, serving from 1959 –1962 where he proudly served on the Submarine U.S.S. Bonefish in the Western Pacific. After his discharge, he began his career with the Xerox Corporation in Rochester NY, where he excelled as an engineer, retiring in 2000. After retirement he enjoyed the kids and schedule, driving a school bus for Wayne Central. While excelling at his career, Dale worked to live rather than living to work, and was always into one hobby or another. For decades, he and Carol loved their many traveling adventures with their motorcycle and Harley Davidson Bike Club. He was a life-long outdoorsman and sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and range shooting. Dale was also an avid Corvette enthusiast throughout his life, owning many over the years. He was proud of his son and grandchildren and forthe last decade or so, was a member of the family kart race team.

He is survived by a son, Jeff (Jodi) Cline of Penfield; grandson, Joseph Cline;granddaughter, Jordan Cline; special friend, Sandy Allen; and several nieces andnephews. In addition to his parents, and wife, he was predeceased by siblings David Cline and Diane SandleFriends are invited to call on Sunday, June 18, 2023, from 1 – 4 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home, 34 W. State Street in Wellsville. A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 11 am at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellsville.
