Wellsville, NY - Edward J. Donovan, 58, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at home from natural causes. He was born on April 12, 1959 in Hornell, the son of the late William F. and Catherine (Lynch) Donovan Sr.
Ed was a 1977 graduate of Wellsville High School and a graduate of the Electrician Program at Alfred State College - School of Applied Technology in Wellsville. He was first employed working construction for Harold Ford Inc., he later was the assistant manager at Rauber's Furniture Store in Wellsville for many years, and ended his career at Donovan's Eastern Supply in Olean. Ed was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, and a generous member and former “Elk of the Year” of the Wellsville Elks Lodge # 1495.
He is survived by two brothers, William F. Donovan Jr. of Olean, and Charles P. (Julie) Donovan of Brentwood, TN, a sister, Mary O. (Mike) Rotolo of North Royalton, OH, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and on Saturday, April 21st from 12 noon to 12:30 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, April 21st at 1:00 pm in the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
