Richard Paul Troidl

Wellsville, NY Richard Paul Troidl, 78, of 106 Madison Street died on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Hospice of Cheektowaga with his family at his side. He was born April 5, 1933 in Buffalo, the son of George and Edna (Dollard) Troidl.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving for 14 years, including tours in Germany, Korea and Vietnam. He was a life member of the Frank B. Church Post 2530 VFW, Morrison Hayes Post 702 American Legion and the Wellsville Moose Lodge # 601.

He is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Troidl of Rochester and Bonnie Carpenter of Cheektowaga, one son, Paul (Anna) Troidl of San Diego, CA, four grandchildren, Jason, Aaron, Chris and Marsháll, two great grandchildren, Alyssa and Aiden, two brothers, Robert (Beverly) Troidl of Tonawanda and Jerry Troidl of Elizabethtown, KY as well as several nieces, nephews and a special friend, Margaret Troidl of Belmont. He was predeceased by a daughter, Janny Troidl and a brother, George Troidl.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. The funeral will follow at 4:00 pm in the funeral home with Father Sean DiMaria presiding. Military honors will follow the funeral and burial will be in Bath National Cemetery.
