
Paul became a licensed beautician after attending Robert's School of Beauty Culture in Rochester. He owned and operated "The Glamour Spot" in Wellsville from 1951 to 2006. He enjoyed singing with the Apollo Club and the Genesee Valley Chorus. He also enjoyed making home improvements, dancing and playing cards with his friends. He was the Commissioner of the Wellsville Parks & Recreation Department during the flood of 1972 and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are six children, Dr. Martin (Amy) Decker of Meadville, PA, Maria (Doug) Rog and Libby (Mike) Carteret both of Poquoson, VA, Kert (Amy) Decker of Alfred, Katrina (Kevin) Pohlman of East Amherst, and Brian Decker of Wellsville, 11 grandchildren, two brothers, John and Joseph Decker and three sisters, Helen Torge, Alice Joyce and Josie Canfield as well as several nieces & nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc., 34 W. State Street in Wellsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 27th at 11:00 am in the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville with Monsignor Vincent Becker as celebrant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorials in his name may be made to the Allegany County Office for the Aging or the Immaculate Conception Church.
