Doris M. Haxton

Wellsville - Doris M. Haxton of 179 Madison Street passed away at home on Saturday March 6, 2010. She was born on August 26, 1928 in Belmont to Charles and Eva (Deice) Clapp. She married Ralph Haxton in Wellsville who predeceased her.

Doris started work at the Texas Hot restaurant in Wellsville. She later became the head cashier at the former Loblaws and retired as head cashier from the former Super Duper.

Survivors include: a daughter Anne (David) Cline of Wellsville; a sister, Mary Moore of Colorado; a brother, John Clapp of Webster; 4 grandchildren, Charlene (Floyd) Guthrie with 2 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; Paul (Rebecca) Mosher with 3 great grandchildren; Rod (Goldie) Cline with 5 great grandchildren and Lisa Cline; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews.

There will be now prior visitation and a memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville.

  1. I have nothing but good memories of Dori. Although it has been a long time since I last saw her I'm sad to hear she has left us.
