Amber Nicole Claire, 33

Wellsville, NY - Amber Nicole Claire, 33, of 689 Trapping Brook Road died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, June 20, 2021. She was born November 16, 1987 in Wellsville, the daughter of John P. and Amy L. (Cradduck) Layfield. On July 23, 2011 in Scio she married Jeffrey D. Claire who survives.

Amber was raised in Allentown, and was a 2006 graduate of Scio Central School. She also attended Jamestown Community College. She was a Stay at Home Mom for several years, and was currently employed as a Home Health Aide. She attended the Restoration Church of Christ in Scio, she loved fishing with her boys, and enjoyed helping her dad at the Allegany Memorial Speedway.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are two sons, Cohen and Austin Claire, her father, John Layfield of Allentown, her mother, Amy Layfield of Wellsville, six siblings, Lynne (Brad) Billings, Joshua (Sydnee) Slocum, Macey Hint, Caleb Swift, Johnny Layfield, and Job Layfield, four nieces, Myah, Leah, Abbie, and Zoe. She was predeceased by a sister Melissa Morris, and a nephew, Garrett Morris.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 12 noon to 2:00 pm at the Restoration Church of Christ, 4017 Main Street in Scio. The funeral will follow at 2:00 pm with Glen Layfield, Minister in Charge, presiding. Burial will in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Bolivar.
