Wellsville, NY - Patricia A. Shipley, 70, of 4192A Bolivar Road passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Wellsville Manor Care Center. She was born on July 27, 1947 in Eldred, PA the daughter of the late Jack and Joanne (Mills) Larkin. On March 6, 1971 in Pontiac, MI she married Russell B. Shipley who predeceased her on November 17, 1973.
Pat was a 1965 graduate of Pontiac Northern High School. She was formerly employed as a security officer at Pontiac Motors in Michigan, as a housekeeper, and was a full time mother. She enjoyed motorcycle hill climbing, motorcycle racing, bowling, and playing baseball. She was an avid Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions fan, and loved going to her sons football games.
For the past eight years Pat's sister, Sandy Field has been her caregiver, and she was loved by the staff at Wellsville Manor. She loved her Rottweiler “Rocco” and has had a stuffed Rottweiler that she held as if it was real, she died with it in her hands.
She is survived by two sons, Russell (Cindy) Shipley and Robert Shipley, one daughter, Joanne Shipley, four dearly loved grandchildren, Russell Jacob Shipley, Shiah Shipley, Frankie Richmond, Jessica Richmond seven brothers, Jack “Butch” Larkin, David Larkin, Randy Larkin, Shane Larkin, Alfred “Loop” Larkin, William Larkin, and George Larkin four sisters, Sandra (Larry) Field, Marla Barnetson, Deborah Latimer, and Gay Larkin Gulick, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, especially, Mary Lou Kemp, who was a great help to Pat over the years.
She was predeceased in addition to her parents and husband by two brothers, Robert “Pete” Larkin and Jeff Larkin, her beloved step mother, Linda Larkin, and a very special love in her life Bob Christian,
