  2. I fell in love with Gertrude the first time I met her with her sister, 2 years ago. The high heal, lipstick, her fashion statements, and her warm smile with a hug could make anyones day brighter. You are a memory that I will have always that brings a huge smile to my face. RIP Young Lady. <3

  3. Oh, I remember so much about Gertie, just loved this lady. Remember her letting me put two baby blankets on lay-away and pay for them with my allowance, remember how she would let all us kids waiting for the bus to Scio for a basketball game hang out in her store because it was so cold, and because she was just as excited as we were, she was part of the gang. There are just way too many memories, and I love every one of them. Gertie will always live on in my memories, she was a part of my whole life.
    RIP Gert.

  5. I met Gert almost 25 years ago, when I was dating my husband and went to visit his grandparents, Beulah and Ralph Haught. Gert could light up a room with her smile and kindness. No one had more beautiful handwriting! She stayed in touch, with her thoughtful cards and sweet gifts. She is someone you never forget. God bless Ray and Gert. Love, Janis and Michael Allen, and sons.

  6. With deepest sympathy and sorrow to hear of your lose. Gert was a ray of sunshine and a joy to be around. My parents Beulah and Ralph Haught looked forward to the winter months so they could join Gert and Ray in Florida. They shared so many laughs and great times especially the nickel card games. May you find peace with your memories. Love, Penny Haught Allen.
