Howard L. Rosema

Penn Yan, NY - Howard L. Rosema, 66, of 1482 Route 14A passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 shortly after arrival at Soldiers & Sailors Hospital in Penn Yan. He was born September 20, 1948 in Geneva, Illinois, the son of Howard W. and Rosa L. (Mick) Rosema.

Howard was a graduate of Broadmoor Senior High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He joined the U. S. Navy on September 21, 1967 and served as a ship’s cook with Attack Squadron Sixty Six until his discharge on July 1, 1971. He then served with the U. S. Naval Reserve until May 17, 1973. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Navy Unit Commendation Medal for his military service. Howard was a former resident of Manor Hills in Wellsville and will be remembered for Peaceful and loving personality. Howard enjoyed traveling and playing his guitar.   

A graveside service is being planned for a later date at Bath National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Manor Hills Activities Fund or the Penn Yan United Methodist Church % Pastor Jeff Childs. To leave online condolences please visit www.embserfuneralhome.com.
