  2. Rest in Peace Mr. Denner! You will be greatly missed. You were a great mentor for my son, Jason Reynolds. And you pushed him to be all he could be. You were the most dedicated coach and friend to him and all the students at Whitesville Central. I will miss your sports meetings. Go rest high on that mountain.

  3. I was coaching girls' JV basketball a half-decade ago (or so) and we had scheduled Whitesville because we wanted the competition, even if they were better than us. It was the first or second year where we had assigned team members blazers to wear as part of their pre- and post-game attire ... we wanted our girls to be a team not just when their unis were on, but before and after games. We also wanted them to take pride in how the presented themselves. When we played them at their place I remember Coach Denner saying about our approach, "Keep it up." That always stuck with me. Rest In Peace, Coach Denner.

Dan denner was an accomplished coach, and an ambassador of the game. A great person. It was my privilige to have had the opportunity to officiate numerous games of his over the years. He was not only a great coach, but also very fair to the officials who worked his games. He also made sure, win lose or draw, to thank us for coming and the effort we put forth. He was very well respected by the officating community. He was also A GREAT MAN. he will be missed. The trip to Whitesville won't be the same without Dan roaming the sidelines. RIP my friend.
