  2. "Granny" was a helper in my classroom for several years. She not only helped my students and me, but she even ate lunch at the cafeteria with the children!!! She was very close to my heart...I searched for "Granny" many times and was not able to find her. I stopped at her home in Belfast, made phone calls to no avail...
I am sorry I didn't have the opportunity to reconfirm to her what a good person she was and how much she was appreciated...
Granny, Rest in peace... I'm sure you will be a great influence in heaven!!! You will be remembered forever!!!!

  3. As I told my mom before she passed away, the world will not be the same without her. She showed us all what it means to be courageous, how to stand up for what you believe in, and what love is. She will be missed beyond words and remembered forever. "I love you to the moon, the stars, and way past where the rocket ships fly." Thanks for the touching post about the difference my mom made to you in the classroom and with the students. Being a foster grandparent was one of her biggest sources of fulfillment and happiness, aside from her family. She had countless stories every time we talked about the kids and her experiences there. She especially got a kick out of the lessons--including those involving insects and nature!

  4. Zara's lovely story of her mother's final days was tearfully warm and beautiful. Now I better understand how deeply she loved/loves her wonderful mother. Our church is indeed blessed to have such a caring member as Zara Brunner.
