Wellsville, NY - Paul F. "Bus" Studer, 92, of 761-A Stone Dam Road died at home on Sunday, April 25, 2010. He was born on May 14, 1917 in Wellsville the son of Frederick and Alvina (Chandler) Studer. He was married to Virginia Mae Ellsworth who predeceased him on February 20, 1960.
"Bus" was a life long resident of the Town of Willing, he was educated at the Stone Dam one room school house and served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He began his career working in the oil fields for Bradley Producing; he later served for many years as Highway Superintendent for the Town of Willing and after he retired from the town he was a self employed heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the NRA and was associated with the York's Corners Mennonite Church.
He is survived by six children, Frederick Studer of Rexville, Paula (Jim) Borden of Centralia, IL, Robert (Bonnie) Studer of Greenwood, Wanda (Samuel) Shon of Huntington Beach, CA, Donna Jones and Edward (Marcia) Studer both of Wellsville, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one sister, Lorena Condon of Wellsville and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by five children, William Studer, Sandra Studer, Shirley Cornelius, Nancy Brundage and Daniel Studer, one grandson, Robert Studer Jr., two sisters and two brothers.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. The funeral will be Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 11:00 am at the York's Corners Mennonite Church with Rev. Eugene Miller presiding. Burial will be in York's Corners Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the SPCA Serving Allegany County.
