Marie Biancuzzo, 92, of 239 W. State Street, died on Friday, July 30, 2010 at her home. She was born March 28, 1918 in Caprino Veronese, Italy, the daughter of the late Mario and Noemi (Pachera) Cristini. On July 24, 1939 in Bolivar, she married Felix Biancuzzo, long-time area Ford dealer, who predeceased her on May 19, 1997.
Marie was raised in Olean and Bolivar and was a long-time resident of Belmont before moving to Wellsville on April 9, 1999. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and Altar Society in Belmont, the Belmont Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville. Marie loved people and music, was very energetic and active well into her 80's, and spent her 85th birthday modeling in a fashion show at Fashion Bug.
She is survived by three daughters, Ann McKay of Pittsford, Norma (James) Bartlett of Wellsville and Marie (David) Vaklyes of Reston, VA, two grandchildren, David Bartlett of West Henrietta and Karen Bartlett-Morse of Auburn, one nephew and four nieces.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marie was predeceased by a sister, Victoria Schena Tucker, and a brother, Bruno Cristini.
Friends are invited to call at Marie's home, 239 W. State Street, in Wellsville, on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM in the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville with Monsignor Vincent Becker as Celebrant. A prayer service will precede the Mass at 10:30 AM at Marie's home, 239 West State Street. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Belmont.
