Wellsville, NY - Geraldine B. Long, 93, of 3895 Fordsbrook Road passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Highland Park Care Center following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on February 4, 1920 in Elmira the daughter of Harry and Lucinda (Bellows) Wolf. On June 3, 1944 in Elmira she married Robert W. Long who predeceased her on June 4, 2011.
Geraldine was a resident of Elmira and Horseheads area for many years before moving to Wellsville in 1991. She was a former employee of the A & P Store in Elmira Heights; Bendix Corporation in Elmira and for many years was a beautician out of her home in Horseheads. She was a loving mother and grandmother, an accomplished seamstress and an avid swimmer. The family would like to thank the staff at Highland Park for their loving care of our mother over the past 11 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Becz of Florida, NY, one son, Richard (Mary Anne) Long of Wellsville, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren as well as several nieces & nephews.
