Bob was raised in Scio, graduating from Scio High School in 1967. He continued his education at the University of Rochester, where he earned his Bachelor of Science. He found his career as a Facilities Engineer, first for Westinghouse, who ultimately transitioned to Siemans Corporation, he retired in January of 2015. Outside of work Bob was an avid reader, former golfer, loved cars in every way, adored animals, and played chess. His favorite pastime was to go out to eat, which was often accompanied by attending the movies.
In addition to his wife, Cheryl, he is survived by: his children, Katherine Dolan and Elizabeth “Betsy” Dolan, both of Mt. Pleasant, PA, and Robert Michael (Christine) Griffin-Dolan of Cohoes, NY; grandchild, Benjamin Dolan; siblings, Madalene “Adele” (Robert) Black and John (MaryBeth Sootheran) Dolan, both of Wellsville, and Mary (Gary) Dunham, of Howard; Cheryl’s family, including, daughter Debra (Karl White) Boyer of Elba, NY, her children and grandchildren, and sister Wende (Robert) Green, of Hornell, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Daniel P. Dolan, and many cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial willbe celebrated at 11 in the church. Private burial will be in Knight’s Creek Cemetery.
