Edna Sarah Best

Alma, NY - Edna Sarah Best, 79, of 166 Pump Station Road was reunited with the Lord on Sunday, November 17, 2013 with her loving family at her side. She was born August 2, 1934 in Clearfield, PA the daughter of the late Clyde and Bertha (Lucas) Welch. On July 12, 1952 in Clearfield she married Jesse Best III who survives.

Edna was formerly employed as a nurse's aid at Ransomville Hospital and Mt. View Nursing Care Facility in Lockport. She loved to play bingo, the lottery and scratch off tickets. She also enjoyed making crafts and sewing.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Garry Best of Williamsport, PA, Jesse Best IV of Ransomville and Paul (Cheryl) Best of Niagara Falls, three daughters, Sandra (Marvin) Buck of Carlsbad, NM, DeAnn (Richard) Burns of Ransomville and Christina (Helene) Cox of Getzville, 13 grandchildren, Deanna, Deneen, Jimmy John, Shauna, Jesse V, Daylean, Keith, Kevin, Miranda, Allan II, Christina, Sylvester and Michael, 27 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren, a twin sister, Edith Mihalko of Morrisdale, PA, as well as several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Randie Lee Doucette, a granddaughter, Jessica Curry, a daughter-in-law, Denise Best, five sisters, Mary, Theona, Gladis, Bertha and Eva and six brothers, Charlie, Carl, Floyd, Herb, Haskell and Elmer.
