Hinsdale, NY - Warren B. Dixon, age 82, of the Isaman Road passed away on Saturday July 6 at the Wellsville Manor Care Center. He was born in Olean on November 14, 1941 to the late Zedric and Lois Amsler Dixon. In 1986 in Limestone, New York he married JoAnn Hill who survives.
Warren was a longtime resident of Limestone and later of the Hinsdale Area. He graduated from Limestone High School and later attended J.C.C. in Olean. In 1960 he joined the US Marine Corps and proudly served his country and The Corps until 1964. In 1965 he joined Dresser in Bradford and retired as a machinist after several decades of service. Warren was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and wood carving. He attended the Limestone Pentecostal Tabernacle in Limestone. He will be remembered as a good man who loved his family, his country and his God.
Surviving besides his loving wife JoAnn include four sons, Edward [Amy] Dixonof McKiney TX., Michael [Virginia] Sweeney of Harrisburg, PA., Kevin Hill of Goldsboro, NC. and Thomas [Cheryl] Sweeney of Goldsboro, NC. ; two daughters, Jean Carpenter of Middleport and Katheen [John] See of Hinsdale; 17 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren; three sisters, Linda [Frank] Harrington of Limestone, Diane Reynolds of Buffalo and Mary [Dave] Wheeler of Buffalo as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Lori Dixon.
