Gladys lived a full life in Wellsville, and enjoyed playing cards, bowling, spending time with friends, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Jones Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and volunteered at the hospital for many years. She was also a member of the First Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Katheryn S. (Roger) Moyer of Wellsville, six grandchildren, Chris (Bev) Moyer, Todd (Tammy) Moyer, Matthew (Laura) Sweet, Carrie (Robert) Perez, Beth (Greg) Day and Mark Sweet, nine great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren a daughter-in-law, Jackie Sweet of Wellsville, a brother-in-law, Ed Flurschutz of Wellsville, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Rae and Jim Franklin.
She was predeceased in addition to her parents and husband, by a son, David C. Sweet and her second mother, Emily S. (Slater) Dickinson, sister-in-law, Lois Flurschutz, brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Marcella Sweet, and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Sweet.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc, 34 W. State Street in Wellsville.
