Wellsville, NY - Penny L. Prokopchuk, 58, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at home surrounded by her daughters. She was born August 18, 1961, in Coudersport, PA, the daughter of the late Keith and Mary Jean (Stilson) Truax.
Penny was raised in Ulysses and graduated from Northern Potter High School. Employment opportunities over the years included Wellsville Central School as secretary, and sole proprietor of her own home daycare until Lyme Disease rendered her physically disabled. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a life member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Penny leaves to cherish her memories, 3 daughters, Jennifer (Andrew) George of Canandaigua, Carrie Baldwin and Kami White, both of Wellsville; 6 grandchildren, Erik, Kendall, Kyle, and Kameron Baldwin, and Lauren and Owen George, and 2 sisters, Brenda (Marvin) Grover of Genesee, PA and Debra Graves of Middlebury Center, PA. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Carol Zwiefka.
