Wellsville, NY - Beatrice J. Davis of 2327 Voorhees Hill, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Highland Park Healthcare Center following a brief illness. She was born October 3, 1928 in Salamanca, the daughter of Isaac and Lela Doris (Kervin) Hardy. On December 20, 1946 in Allentown she married W. Woodrow “Woody” Davis who predeceased her on August 19, 1984.
Beatrice was a graduate of the Allentown Union School. She owned and operated several businesses in the region, including the Modern Diner in Wellsville from 1956 untill 1969. She loved gardening and growing flowers.
She is survived by a sister, Margaret Buchholz of Wellsville, several nieces & nephews and her beloved canine companion “Puppy”. She was predeceased in addition to her husband by three sons, Timothy, Terrence and Thomas Davis, three brothers, Robert Hardy and William and Harold Tingley, and one sister, Dorothy Mott.
