Wellsville, NY - Agatha P. O'Donnell, 90, a former resident of 38 Pleasant Street passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Highland Park in Wellsville. She was born December 4, 1921 in Kulpmont, PA the daughter of Basil and Ursula (Mascal) Dziemian. On April 8, 1950 in Kulpmont she married Patrick Emmett O'Donnell who predeceased her in 1969.
Agatha had resided in Wellsville since 1950 and more recently at Manor Hills in Wellsville. She was a graduate of Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in Kulpmont and Geisinger Hospital School of Nursing. She was formerly employed at Mary's Nursing Home in Wellsville and later for the Alfred State College Vocational School in Wellsville for 23 years; retiring in 1989.
She is survived by two nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased in addition to her husband by her daughter, Karen O'Donnell in 1976, her son, David O'Donnell in 1990, three brothers, Monsignor Anthony Dziemian, Joseph Dziemian and Vincent Dziemian and one Sister, Sister Lucinda Dziemian.
Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in Friday, March 30, 2012 at 10:30 am in the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville with Rev. Thomas Roman as Celebrant. There will be no prior visitation. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Kinney, PA. Memorial donations are suggested to the Immaculate Conception School, 24 Maple Avenue in Wellsville, NY 14895. Hello, I wish I could have attended the services for Aggie. If I new sooner I would have! Aggie was a sweet women and was our house mom while I attend Alfred State in 1983-1985. I continued to have contact with her until 1993, then lost contact. I think of her often and tried to find her again but just lost touch. She was such a stong and caring lady.
