Town of Wirt - Rosemary D. Ewart of the Dimmick Road passed away on Saturday November 28 at the Jones Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 4, 1928 in Rochester to Edmond T. and Marion C. Burns Ewart.
Rosemary was a longtime resident of Rochester who enjoyed visiting her brother’s home on the Dimmick Road. She was a hairdresser for Sibley’s Department Store in their beauty salon and later was a cosmetology instructor for the Wayne County BOCES. Rosemary was a member of the Peace the Christ Parish at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Rochester.
She is survived by a brother, Thomas E. Ewart of Wirt a sister in law Florence M. Ewart of Rochester, 2 nieces and a nephew, 3 grandnieces and several cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother Robert W. Ewart.
Friends may attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday December 5, 2009 at 11 am in the St. John’s Evangelic Catholic Church on Humboldt Street in Rochester. Memorials in Rosemary’s name may made to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center 1275 York Ave, New York, NY. 10065 . Arrangements are under the direction of the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville.
