Kim and kids, wish we could be there Saturday but that is not possible. Just know that we will all be there in spirit. Even though we didn't see one another often, we did, and do, talk of you often. This is a sad time, we will all just have to remember the laught we shared with Fred, and the snores. We did love him more than we can say. Love you all.

I am sad that Kim, Fred's family and friends have lost a very loved person. I am also happy that Fred has gone to a much better place and is without the pain and suffering he has endured the last few years. I knew Fred most of my life and worked with him for many years in the inspection dept at D-R. He was fun to be around and work with and always made the day easier to get through. My prayers are with Kim and his family.

Fred was my "buddy" during my working years at DR. He truly believed that "laughter is the best medicine" and applied it often. He will be greatly missed, and my heart goes out to Kim and the rest of Fred's family.
ReplyDeleteI graduated from High School with Fred in 1962. I always considered him to be the nicest guy in the class. In recent years as I've thought of him during his illness, I came to the realization that he was not just the nicest guy, but the nicest person in the class. I meant to write him a note to tell him this, but sadly, never did and I will always regret that. RIP Fred, you will be missed by many.
ReplyDeleteCoach McGee was my pony football coach the first year I moved to Wellsville in the mid 70's. I thought of him often as I coached the pony team this year. Thank you sir for your commitment and inspiration on and off the field.
ReplyDeleteKim, I was so saddened to hear of Fred's death. He was such a great, great guy and I enjoyed working with him at D-R. He truly was the best! My prayers are with you, Kim and Fred's family.
ReplyDeleteKim, I've thought of you and Fred often over the years and regret that I'd lost touch. I have such fond memories of playing volleyball with you both and learned so much from Fred about playing the game. It was an honor to have known such a genuine, kind and funny man. We will keep you in our prayers.

To Fred's family my heartfelt condolences. I worked with Fred everyday, played golf and had a lot of good memories. Most importantly no matter how screwed up things got at Dresser-Rand, Fred always found a way to break the tension with coming up with something to laugh about. Fred always took his responsibilities quite seriously and he has been an inspiration to me. My thoughts and prayers are with Fred's entire family at this time.
