V. Lucille Dickerson, 91

Wellsville, NY – V. Lucille Dickerson, 91, formerly of Belmont, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She was born September 25, 1933, in Alma, the daughter of the late George and Flossie (Terrette) Quick. On April 11, 1953, in Alma, she married Carl R. Dickerson, who predeceased her on March 1, 2014. 

Lucille and Carl owned and operated The Dickerson Rest Home, in Belmont, for 28 years. Additionally, she was a member, and former Sunday School Teacher, at the First Baptist Church of Belmont. 

She is survived by: a son, Warren (Kim) Dickerson of Toccoa, GA; two daughters, Ann (Alan) Cotรจand Anita Johnson, both of Wellsville; 6 grandchildren15Great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, JoAnn Quick; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and husband of 60 years, she was predeceased by: a granddaughter, Melissa Lynne Johnson; five sisters; a brother; and two sons-in-law, Steven Brown and Marc Johnson. 

Following Lucille’s wishes, a private family graveside is being planned for next week. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.   1. One great Christian lady! Carl and her were to very special people. When they lived in Alma was at there house growing up. My husband and I ended up buying the house they lived in and owned in Alma. Carl was my Dad cousin and Lucille was his first cousin! My Grandmother and Lucille’s father’s were brother and sister.

  2. My prayers are with the family at this time. Carl and Lucille were a wonderful Christian company. My Grandmother was Lucille’s Aunt. George Quick was my Great uncle.

  5. I will greatly miss my Aunt Lucy. She was such a sweet lady. Prayers for my cousins for strength as they go through this time of sorrow.

  7. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Lucy and Carl were such an encouragement to my husband and I during the time when my husband was intern pastor at Belmont. We spent many Sunday afternoons enjoying Lucy’s delicious food and fellowshipping with them in their home. They were a precious couple!
