Wellsville, NY - William D. “Butch” Swisher, age 51, of Rauber Street passed away at home on Tuesday October 6, 2105. He was born on October 9, 1963 in Chambersburg, PA., to Franklin and Nelda Kessinger Swisher. On July 20, 1985 he married Sarah Hart who survives.
Butch graduated from Wellsville High School in 1982. He had been a resident of Mount Wolf, PA., and worked for Air Gas in Harrisburg, PA., until 2014.
Survivors include his wife Sarah of Wellsville; his 3 daughters, Josephine Swisher of York, Pa., Rachel Swisher of York, PA., and Erin Swisher of Wellsville; 2 grandsons, Noah Wentz and Matthew Miller; a brother, Jeff (Sharon) Swisher; a sister, Deb (Charlie) Shipe; several nieces and nephews.
Butch was predeceased by his parents Franklin and Nelda.
Friends are invited to attend a grave side service at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wellsville.
