Wellsville, NY - Richard R. "Dick" Buck of East Dyke Street passed away on Sunday February 21, 2010 at the Wellsville Manor Care Center. He was born on November 10, 1936 in Buffalo to Robert W. and Rita L.(Cusson) Buck. On October 24, 1959 at St. Bibianna's Catholic Church in Galton, PA he married Carmela G. Pagano.
Dick and Carmela moved to California in 1959 where he started his career as a printer. Dick became well known in Wellsville as printer for the Wellsville Daily Reporter and as owner of R. Buck Printing, he later retired from the Hornell Evening Tribune. Dick enjoyed traveling and bowling and in his younger years enjoyed an active social life. His memberships include the Immaculate Conception Church, the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge all of Wellsville.
Dick leaves behind six children; Gina N. Smith, Nicki L. (Charles) Booker, Camilla (Todd) Merrick, Jay R. (Lisa) Buck, Frank R. Buck and Guy J.(Theresa) Buck; six grandchildren, Cori, Colten, Levi, Jade, Brandon and Kevin; several nieces and nephews as well as many friends here and in Heaven.
Dick has gone to Heaven to join his wife Carmella, his parents Robert and Rita, his step father Ralph Keeney, his brother Robert Buck and his sister Jackie Fryling.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be celebrated on Friday, February 27, at11 am in the Immaculate Conception Church with Monsignor Vincent Becker presiding. Memorials in Dick's name may be made to either the Jones Memorial Hospital or to the Immaculate Conception Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville.
