George J. McNulty Jr,



Wellsville, NY - George J. McNulty Jr, 83, of 3276 First Street died on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Hart Comfort House surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 28, 1933 in Chicago, IL the son of the late George and Helen (Dennis) McNulty Sr. On July 27, 1957 in Wellsville he married Judith Kohsiek who survives.


George’s family moved to Wellsville when he was five. He attended the Immaculate Conception School, Wellsville High School and received an associate degree from Alfred State College. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He was employed at Worthington/Turbodine/Dresser-Rand for 46 years, retiring in 1998. He was a life member and Past Commander of the Morrison Hayes Post 702 American Legion, Past County Commander of the American Legion and was a member of the 40 & 8. He was a coach for the Wellsville Little League, the Legion Junior Baseball League and enjoyed playing golf,

He is survived in addition to his wife of 60 years, by two sons, Robert and his wife Robin and Michael and his wife Pamela, two daughters, Theresa and Christine, three grandsons, Michael, Kenneth and Shawn, and his wife Katrina, two granddaughter, Ashley and her husband Knox, and Kendre, and four great grandchildren.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday, February 19th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm and on Monday, February 20th from 10:00 to 10:30 am at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc., 34 W. State Street in Wellsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 am in the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville. Military honors will follow the Mass and burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the Hart Comfort House, the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps or the SPCA Serving Allegany County.
