Philip M. Barrett

Philip M. Barrett, 72, of 358 Fischer Road, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at home. He was born September 12, 1943 in Wellsville, the son of the late Gilbert and Alice (Fischer) Barrett.

Phil was a 1961 graduate of Andover High School. He owned and operated Phil Barrett Painting Plus and in 2008 became a NACE certified coating inspector. He was a member of the Wellsville Elks Lodge 1495 and the Wellsville Moose Lodge 601.  

He is survived by two children Martin Barrett of Glendale, Arizona and Stephanie (Javier) Gonzalez of Homedale, Idaho, two step daughters, Julie (Roger) Hoshal of Richburg and Cathy (David) Dawson of Scio, four grandchildren Skylin, Jessica, Ricco and Rachel, four great-grandchildren, Krystyna, Zander, Quinten, and Baylee, two step-grandchildren, Kristen (Anthony) Liguori  and Aaron Dawson, three step-great grandchildren, Kyle, Damon and Nolan, a brother, Gilbert (Carol) Barrett of Kingwood, TX, several, nieces & nephews and many close friends. He was predeceased by his wife Carol on March 25, 2009.

A celebration for Phil and Carol is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
