Wellsville, NY - Gene E. Wilson, 85, of 2261 Back River Road passed away at home on Thursday, January 07, 2016 following a brief illness. He was born August 26, 1930 in Corydon Township, McKean County, PA, the son of Roscoe and Ruth (Burdick) Wilson. On December 31, 1949 in Wellsville he married Mary Moline who survives.
Gene’s family moved to Wellsville in 1929 and he was a 1948 graduate of Wellsville High School. He was employed at C. E. Air Preheater Company for 44 years; retiring in 1992.He also worked for the Weimer Trailer Court for many years. He was a woodworker, who enjoyed building furniture, hunting, fishing and gardening.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 66 years, are six children, Jean (Paul) Kolisch of Burnsville, MN, Brian (Kathy) Wilson of Corning, Suzanne (Paul) Williams of Rochester, Cynthia Wilson and her husband, Ed Fewkes of Corning, Stephane Narburgh of Greenville, SC and Patrick Wilson of Cypress, TX, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, two brothers, and a son-in-law, Larry Narburgh.
