Eloise B. Vossler

Wellsville, NY - Eloise B. Vossler, 86, a former resident of 2041 Petrolia Road passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Highland Park Healthcare Center in Wellsville following a lenghtly illness.
She was born May 24, 1929 in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Harold and Frances (Richardson) Durfee. On August 29, 1947 in Wellsville she married Warren R. Vossler who predeceased her on September 14, 1995.

Eloise was a former employee of the Olean Tile Plant for 12 years, and was a beautician for 25 years. She was a member of the Wellsville Business & Professional Women’s Club for 15 years, taught Sunday school at the Obi Church and was a life member of the Petrolia Hose Company # 2. Eloise and Warren enjoyed traveling, camping, boating and fishing and she enjoyed crossword puzzles, needlepoint & crocheting.

She is survived by two daughters, Pat (Doug) Pobgee of York, PA and Kay (Tom) Lauzze of Wellsville, one son, Jim (Dale) Vossler of Wellsville, two sisters, Eleanor (Basil) Shutt of Wellsville and Elizabeth Powel of TX, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased in addition to her parents and husband by her grandparents who raised her, two brothers, Art Ramsey and Ronald Durfee, and two grandsons Kevin Vossler and Jay Clarke.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 16, from 12 noon to 2 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. The funeral will follow at 2 pm in the funeral home with Reverend Ralph Eastlack presiding. 

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, be made to the Petrolia Hose Company # 2 or the SPCA Serving Allegany County. To leave online condolences, please visit www.embserfuneralhome.com.
