  3. Don and Brian, and family though I do not know the others. I read of Chester's passing in the paper today and wanted to express my sympathies. I became acquainted with your dad when Houghton Academy worked with him to secure the land for our elementary campus, now the Crossroads Center. I enjoyed our interactions and it was clear to me how much he cared for his family. As we discussed land each of us owned and we could best configure it all he was committed to having all the woodlands he could obtain so his children and grandchildren would be able to enjoy hunting and fishing. I was more interested in road-front open areas so it was not difficult to work out a swap that benefited each of our purposes. He supported our goals and was gracious throughout. I am sorry for your loss and will uphold you folks in my prayers. God bless.
