Venerino "Frank" Morabito



Alma, NY - Venerino "Frank" Morabito, 80, of 5595 County Road 38 passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013 at the Wellsville Manor Care Center with his family at his side. He was born June 10, 1933 in Rochester the son of Sebastiano and Rosaria "Sarah" (Palazzolo) Morabito. On August 17, 1957 in St. Mary's of the Lake Church in Watkins Glen he married Barbara J. Raub who survives. 


Frank was a 1952 graduate of Edison Technical and Industrial High School in Rochester. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Air Force. He was the owner & operator of V.F.M. Refrigeration in Rochester until moving to Wellsville in 1979, where was self employed until his retirement. 

Surviving in addition to his wife are five daughters, Catherine (Garrett) Smith of Atlanta, GA, Christine Morabito of Wellsville, Carolyn (John) Walsh and Barbara Morabito both of Rochester and Susan (Steve) Chakmakjian of Fort Collins, CO, 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one sister, Santina Traino of Webster as well as several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Venerino Morabito, one sister, Giochinna Morabito and a son-in-law, Bret Farrow. 

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 10 to 10:30 am at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11am in the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester. The family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps. To leave online condolences, please visit www.embserfuneralhome.com.

  6. Dad, I had to take some time. So much of you is a part of who I am -what I have become. So in many ways you are not far away at all. Precious memories of being your daughter fill my heart -they abide there along with knowing that our Heavenly Father dwells too in our hearts. God watches over us while we are apart from each other in this world. You gave us faith-the most precious of all gifts next to life. I will forever be grateful and honoring of you and your memory.
